The DeKalb County High School Tigers Soccer Team took a shutout victory against Cannon County last week.
The game took place on April 8, and the game started out slow, with the first half ending in a 0-0 tie, but in the second half the goals got hot for the Tigers.
Eli Lomas struck first in the game, getting a goal 11 minutes into the second half with an assist by Miguel Ramirez. Brandon Leiser scored a goal of his own only seven minutes later, and Micah Merriman topped off the score with a goal five minutes before the end of the game.
DeKalb took the win, 3-0.
Goalkeeper Skylar Pease had six saves during the game.
On April 10, the Tigers traveled to Goodpasture, where they had a tough loss.
Goodpasture scored seven goals in the game, with DeKalb’s one and only goal coming from Eli Lomas 33 minutes into the game. DeKalb fell, 7-1.
Pease had nine saves during play.
