Tigers soccer strong against Jackson County
soccer 4-24
DeKalb Tigers Juan Torres shows his soccer skills during a match up against Jackson County last Thursday.

After a road trip, the DeKalb County Tigers were at home Thursday night against district foe Jackson County.  This was a must-win for the Tigers and knowing this, Coach K had his team prepared as they went on to a 6-0 victory.
Mistakes were few and far between as the Tigers were focused and determined to win.  Eli Lomas and Geovani Quzman both finished with two goals apiece, while Brandon Leiser and Miguel "Tigre" Rodriguez each scored.  Meanwhile, the defense, along with goalkeeper Ben Driver, kept the Wildcats off the scoredboard for a shut-out.
The Tigers traveled to Winchester, on April 6 and 7 to play in the Franklin County Rebel Classic Tournament.  The Tigers won first place in their pool by defeating D1 AAA teams Lawrence County and Lincoln County, which put them in the semi-finals on Sunday.
They were defeated by Henry County in their final match, and placed third overall out of eleven teams.
