Tigers stay with Smith County

The DeKalb County Tiger Soccer team welcomed the Smith County Owls to Smithville to battle for first place in the district on April 20. The game came down to the final minutes, with the game ending in a tie, 2-2.

 

Cristobal Flores (7), scored two goals for the tigers, while for Smith County, Reeves York (34) and Shane Miller (23), scored a goal each.

 

Jose Torres was the winning goalie, with eight saves in the game.

 

The Tigers now are in a three-way tie with Smith County and Murfreesboro Central Magnet atop the district standings. Their next game will be Monday, Apr. 24 versus Macon County, in Lafayette.
