The DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints were back in action last week, going on the road for a Monday Night game before coming back home later in the week.
On Monday, November 6, the ladies traveled to Prescott Middle School where they faced a tough game. The girls scored nine points in the first period, with Sophie Adcock sinking a three-pointer and a free throw, while Jerusalem Aldino hit a two-point shot. Jordyn Agee had a pair of free-throw points, while Maggie Hendrixson had one. Prescott scored 18.
The Lady Saints added another eight points to the board in the second period, with Agee hitting a couple of two-point shots and a pair of free throws, while Adcock had a two-pointer of her own. Prescott added 11, taking the 29-17 lead at the half.
Adcock and Hendrixson each had a two-pointer for DMS in the third period, while Agee added another two free throw points. Prescott tacked on another 10 points and were up 39-23.
Hannah Tobitt had a couple of two-pointers for the Lady Saints in the fourth period, while Brileigh Bullard had one. Prescott pressed on with 20 points, taking the 59-29 win.
On Thursday, the ladies were back on their home court as they hosted Cannon County. It would be another tough night for the girls.
Jordyn Agee scored the only four points for the Lady Saints in the first period, off of a three-point basket and a free throw. Cannon came away with 10 points.
Sophie Adcock sank a three-point shot for DMS in the second period, while Maggie Hendrixson added a free throw. Cannon plowed ahead with 17 points, taking a 27-8 lead at halftime.
The Lady Saints came away with eight points in the third period, with Agee hitting a two-pointer and three free throw points, while Hendrixson added a two-pointer of her own. Bullard had a free-throw point. Cannon tacked on another 11 points, taking the 38-16 lead.
DMS came away with 14 points in the fourth with Agee sinking three two-point shots and a free throw, while Aubree Fuson had a three-pointer. Lakelyn Nelson and Regan Williams each had a pair of free throw points. Cannon was held to seven, but still claimed the 45-30 win.
