The big boys came out for the DeKalb County Fair’s premier event last Saturday with the Truck and Tractor Pull making some noise and shaking the ground. The monster machines entertained a packed arena to close out the fair.
In the 5500 Super Stock Trucks class, Cody Beaty’s Rattlesnake I came in first, pulling 313.03 feet. Tommy Taylor’s Weekend Hooker came in second with 311 feet, and Lester Cole III’s Mr. Bent Wrench took third with 309.04 feet. Chelsie Hinch’s Terminator pulled 285.07 feet and Adam Bowman’s Mr. Twister pulled 236.09 feet.
Andrew Powell’s Midnight Oil took the top spot in the 6200 Pro Stock Trucks class, pulling 286.07. Wade Beaty’s Rattlesnake II was second with 280.04 feet.
In the Small Block Hotrod class, Jeff Reynolds’ Ragin Bull won first place by pulling 301.09 feet, while Abby Jo Griffith’s Barbwire & Roses came in second with 294.09 feet. Cameron Hawkins’ Old Yeller pulled 293.03 feet, Mark Steinmann’s Wind Me Up pulled 272.06 feet, and John Griffith’s Touchdown Jr. pulled 264.06 feet.
Chris Underwood’s Blazin’ Binder took the top spot in the 6200 LLSS Tractors class, pulling 296.08 feet. Bill Bowman’s Deere Gone Wild was second with 288.09 feet, and David Holbrook’s Outrage was third with 287.03 feet. Jeff Dykes’ Alcoholic Deere pulled 283.05 feet, Bruce Baird’s Ghost Rider pulled 271.07 feet, and Daniel Adwell’s International 1066 pulled 248.06 feet.
In the 9300 Super Farm Tractors class, Jeff Moore’s Green Fever Too took first place with a run of 305.05 feet. Burnace Vandergriff’s Green Fever was second with 302.04 feet, and Ethan Weston’s The Reaper 2 was third with 296.10 feet.
Freddie Weston’s The Reaper pulled 303.06 feet in the 11000 Hot Farm Tractors class, taking the top spot. Justin Duncan’s Super Fly was second with 300.07 feet, and Bradley Coppinger’s John Deere 4020 was third with 249.07 feet. Will Brown’s Pullin For Granny pulled 134.01 feet and Adam Vaughn’s Red Extreme pulled 104.06 feet.
