Tyson named "Miss Softball Middle TN"

An outstanding player on the DeKalb County High School Tigerettes softball team has been named "Miss Softball Middle Tennessee" by the Tennessee Softball Coaches Association. Danielle Tyson received the honor and is now in the running with the East and West Tennessee Miss Softball honorees for the title of "Miss Tennessee Softball." Miss Tennessee Softball will be announced on June 16th.
Tyson had a batting average of .556, with an on-base percentage of .704. Tyson had 40 stolen bases and led the team in runs with 64. Tyson was the first baseman for the Tigerettes this season, and has signed to play for Trevecca Nazarene University next year.
Tyson’s teammate, Tyra Graham , also received an honor after she was named to the TSCA's Class AA All State Team.
Graham led the Tigerettes in the season in sacrifices. Her batting average was .412 and her on-base percentage was .471. She played shortstop for the team and will return next season as a Junior.
