The DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints took a 52-24 beating from Upperman Middle School on eighth-grade night last week.
Upperman outpaced DMS 19-0 in the first period, and while a 5-4 second period came in for DeKalb, the Lady Saints were outscored 12-10 in the third and 17-9 in the fourth.
Kennedy Agee led the DMS offense with 12 points hitting four three-pointers, while Kadee Ferrell scored seven and Megan Cantrell put in five.
The Saints fared no better against Upperman, losing 62-27.
The Saints trailed 11-6 at the end of the first period, and 26-16 at the half. Upperman increased their lead to 47-22 by the end of the third, and went on to win 62-27.
J.J. Pack led the Saints scorecard with eight points. Luke Jenkins followed with seven, Jordan Young and Jacob Johnson scored four each, and Aiden Curtis, Isaac Knowles both put two on the board.
