Tigerette outfielder Megan Walker will be taking her talents to Trevecca this coming year after she signed a letter of intent to play softball for the university.

The senior fielder signed the letter of intent Friday with her family, friends, teammates and coaches looking on.

Walker opted to attend Trevecca Nazarene University because it is a small Christian School  and she believes it will be a perfect fit as she prepares for her career as an occupational therapist.

Trevecca Nazarene University (TNU), founded in 1901, is a private Christian liberal arts college in Nashville and is a member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II.

“I am very proud of Megan reaching her goal of going to Trevecca. That is where she wanted to be. She has worked real hard to make that dream a reality,” the coach said, noting Megan came back from injury and surgery the year prior and had a solid year on the diamond.

While she has signed the letter of intent, Walker isn’t through wearing a Tigerette uniform as she will be part of the squad this spring during her senior year.
