The DeKalb County Fair Cattle Show saw a big group of participants last week with some fine animals on display. The competition featured 18 exhibitors with 30 head of cattle.
For the Showmanship competition in the PeeWee class, Case Halliburton claimed first place, while Kinley Porter came in second. Beau Carey came in third.
In the Junior class, first place was awarded to Jaclyn Thomas, with Jackson Carey as second. Ivy McGillis was third.
For the Senior class, first place was awarded to Erin Hensley, with Anna Towns in second, and Audrey Clouse in third.
For the Champion and Reserve Champion for each breed the winners are as follows:
· Angus Bull champion - Dalton Dillard
· Simental Bull Champion and Reserve Champion - Hallie Dillard
· Angus Heifer Champion - Dalton Dillard
· Reserve champion - Audrey Clouse
· Charolais Heifer champion - Cliffton Porter
· Reserve champion - Kinley Porter
· Hereford Heifer champion - Anna Towns
· Reserve champion - Audrey Clouse
· Red Angus champion and reserve champion - Jackson Carey
· Shorthorn heifer champion and reserve champion - Jaclyn Thomas
· Simental heifer champion - Hallie Dillard
· Reserve champion - Cliffton Porter.
