Youth baseball wraps up regular season

The DeKalb County Youth Baseball Leagues have wrapped up their regular season, and the 2015 awards program was held Monday night at the baseball complex on Allen Ferry Road.

 

The Major-League Batting Title for the year went to Avery South of Rice’s Tigers. South had a season batting average of .617, and he took home the MVP award as well. Cody Antoniak of Rice’s Tigers was presented the Major League Golden Glove Award.

 

Jordon Young of Taylor’s Construction took the Minor League Batting title with a .458 average. Brayden Antoniak of Taylor’s Construction was awarded the MVP trophy, and the Golden Glove Award went to Lucas Hale, also a member of the Taylor’s team.

 

Luke Midgett of DeKalb Tire’s .621 batting average earned him the Machine Pitch Batting Title.

 

Ty Webb of Southern Landscape was named MVP, and Paul Oliver of Southern Landscape is this year’s Minor League Golden Glove Award winner.

 

Coming out on top in regular-season Machine Pitch play was the Southern Landscape Supply squad, while Insta Cash took the second spot. The end-of-the-season tournament saw Insta Cash take the top spot, while The Real Estate Team came out in second.

 

In Minor League action, Taylor’s Construction earned first place in both the regular season and the tourney. DeKalb Community Bank fought their way to the second spot in the tournament and the season.

 

Rice’s Tigers took the first-place trophy in the Major League season, Webb’s Pharmacy claimed second, and Curtis Supply earned the third-place award.

 

Sportsman Award Winners for 2015 included; Colby Slager, James Tramel, Jacob Williams, Tyler Estes, Claytin Fish, Danny Van Dyne, Blaine Atnip, Liam Wallace, Diego Coronado, Dalton Williams, Holden Hendrix and Aaron Maple. One Sportsman Award winner is chosen from each team.

 

The 2015 DeKalb Youth Baseball Machine Pitch All-Stars are Paul Oliver, Ty Webb, Alex Antoniak, Carson Donnell, Westin Wright, Luke Midgett, Hunter Cannon, Martin Willingham, Alex Lemmons, Peyton Guess, Maddox Hale and Aiden Taylor.

 

The 2015 DeKalb Youth Baseball Minor League All-Stars include; Andrew Vickers, Konner Young, Lucas Hale, Matt Rowe, Isaac Knowles, Kolter Kilgore, Silas Cross, Jordan Young, Brayden Antoniak, Ty Panker, Hunter Cantrell, Matthew Vickers and David Judkins.

 

DeKalb Youth Baseball Major League All-Stars for 2015 are Jordon Crook, Gage Trapp, Isaac Cross, Jacob Johnson, Cody Antoniak, Avery South, Levi Cantrell, Aiden Curtis, Malaki Hall, Braxton Hutchins, Axel Aldino and Greyson Hendrix.

 

Minor and Major League All-Stars will begin tournaments at Barfield Crescent Park in Murfreesboro on July 24.
