While the high school and middle school soccer’s fall season has come to an end, the DeKalb Youth Soccer League’s games are just ramping up.
On Oct. 5, the league held their first games of the season, and there were several young players that came away with goals. As always, the league reminds readers that soccer is a team sport, and they know that each score is usually proceeded by uncounted passes, challenges, and generally a great deal of effort by the whole team.
Those coming away with points the first week are; Wade Evans (3), Matthew Lasser (5), Chase Young (3), Christopher Carrillo Sanchez (2), Milas Driver (2), Johnathon Valderay, Martin Coronado (2), Jerett Hamilton (2), William Blair, MaKinzy Jenkins, Chase Vaughn, Adan Ramirez, Yair Mata (2), Miguel Angel (2), Evan Morse, Dalton Farrar, Jack Famulski, Taylor Foutch, Diego Coronado, Brian Escobar, Sophie Hackett, Parker Gassaway, Rodrigo Sosa (2), Malia Stanley, Isaiah Loftis (3), Brandon Leiser (2), Cristabol Flores, Micah Merriman, Roberto Mata (5), Corey Ferrell, and Dylan Easterwood.
On Oct. 12, another round of games were played with even more scoring teammates. Those getting goals were; William Blair, Martin Coronado (5), MaKinzy Jenkins, Johnathan Valderay (3), Chase Vaughn, Brady Matias (2), Jaxon Panker, Adan Ramirez, Colton Kirby, Mario Matias (3), Jack Byford, Yair Mata, Miguel Angel (3), Liam Wallace, Jacqueline Bain, Kevin Soto, Parker Gassaway (2), Jeremy Escobar, Ealy Gassaway, Parker Thompson, Alec Reynolds (2), Austin McCoy, Dakota White, Isaiah Loftis, Brandon Leiser (6), Jared Marlar, Cristabol Flores (4), Micah Merriman (4), Brandon Chapman, Bruno Ramirez, Brady Gil, and Gavin Carter.
The Youth Soccer League congratulates every player, not just those who scored, on playing hard, being safe, and hopefully having fun.
