While the temperatures were a bit on the warm side, residents and visitors alike were taking advantage of the shade around the square in Alexandria Saturday, as they revived a tradition that had been on hiatus for the last 14 years.
Vendors, residents and guests gathered to celebrate Old Timers Day with food, fun, crafts and some excellent singing to boot. There was no charge to attend, you just had to have your chair and a hometown attitude to have some fun.
There were craft vendors, food vendors and other vendors set up. Along with the singing there were hourly giveaways and clogging.
Food was provided by Watertown First Baptist Youth, Crazy Dawgs and more. There was some awesome peach cobbler.
Other vendors included Mary Kay, Designs by Roberta, Two Crafty Teachers, Thirty-one, Pampered Chef, Color Street, Pies’n More, Lularoe, Paparazzi, Plunder, Rebel Edge Cosmetics, Scentsy, Pink Zebra, Young Living Oils, Tupperware, Slick Surface and many more.
Everyone looked happy and fun was had by all. Looks like Old Timers Day is here to stay.
