Sexual battery charges have been leveled against a Dowelltown man, charging him with abusing his position of power in order to molest a 13-year-old girl.
The suspect, Bobby Lee Anderson, 41, is charged with sexual battery by an authority figure, a crime that carries three to six years in prison if convicted.
The incident for which he is charged happened more than two year ago, in May of 2016 when he allegedly inappropriately touched the girl. The crime, prosecutors say, was accomplished by using his position of authority to force the girl into allowing him to accomplish the crime.
He is being held under $75,000 bond and was arraigned Aug. 6.
