The public is invited to come buy some art and help the children of this community at the same time as the Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour offers Art for Kids Day Saturday.
“One hundred percent of the proceeds go to purchase food for children in DeKalb County schools who are identified as at risk and are coming to school hungry,” revealed Claudia Lee about the event.
The sale this year will be held at the DeKalb Farmer’s Market beginning at 7 a.m. The event will continue until the art work is sold out.
The offerings will include pottery and other art donated by area artists all in support of providing food for the hungry children of the community.
The sale comes after Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour took on the project about 12 years ago. The sale will offer the art work at greatly reduced prices, making it a win-win for both the buyer and the children who will benefit from the sale.
