Art sale to benefit UCHRA
Bowl sale w sm.jpg

Artists from Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour will again be selling donated hand-made items in support of UCHRA Nutrition programs in DeKalb County.
This year the sale has a new location.
The event will be Saturday, Aug. 6, at the new Farmer's Market from 7a.m. until noon.
The Farmer's Market is located at 205 E. Bryant St, next to the new County Community Building.
Student work from the ceramics and glass departments at the Appalachian Center for Craft will be featured this year, as well as other donated handiworks.
The UCHRA Nutrition Program feeds about 40 seniors four days a week at locations in Smithville, Liberty and Alexandria.
The program also delivers about the same number of meals to shut-ins in DeKalb County five days a week.
According to administrator Linda Trammel, last year's sale raised enough money to add another person to the meals route.
So, bring your market basket on Saturday morning and take advantage of two great happenings in DeKalb County- the UCHRA Nutrition Benefit Bowls Sale and the DeKalb County Farmer's Market.
Get there early for both in order to get the best selection.
