A local man who was issued a citation the TWRA for killing a black bear out of season entered a guilty plea in General Sessions Court last week. Jim Beshearse pled guilty to killing big game during a closed season last Wednesday. Judge Bratten Cook II sentenced Beshearse to six months, suspended, and he will be on unsupervised probation.
