Congressman Diane Black visited Smithville Thursday, hosting one of a series of town hall meetings at the courthouse. Black, who serves on the House Ways and Means Committee and Budget Committee, shared her ideas for her plan, called “A Better Way,” which would address ways to reform the tax code, combat poverty, rebuild the economy, replace Obamacare, protect our national security, and restore the constitutional separation of powers. “At the first of the year, our leadership asked all of our committees to take a look at the issues that we felt could move us forward,” Black told the assembly on the first floor of the courthouse.
