DeKalb GOP Chair Mingy K. Bryant is shown with Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Chrissy Haslam at the Republican National convention.

DeKalb County Republican Party Chairman Mingy K. Bryant attended the Republican National Convention as the honored guest of State Executive Committee Woman, Jennifer Winfree.

Bryant described the experience as “an amazing opportunity” to be a part of history.  She said the atmosphere inside the arena was “energized and positive.”  She also expressed an overwhelming gratitude for the security measures taken by law enforcement across the country in ensuring the safety of all those in attendance.

Bryant said Tennessee was well represented throughout the convention, with Governor Bill Haslam, First Lady Chrissy Haslam, U.S. Senator, Bob Corker, U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander, State Senator Mae Beavers, and SEC Jennifer Winfree, along with many others, including special guest speaker Congressman Marsha Blackburn, Vice Presidential Nominee Mike Pence, and GOP Presidential Nominee Donald Trump in attendance.

Bryant strongly encourages all Republicans everywhere to set aside their differences and rally behind the Republican Party’s Presidential Nominee, Donald Trump, and his running mate for U.S. Vice President, Mike Pence.

The federal government has time and time again overstepped the authority granted by the U.S. Constitution, by creating laws and regulations that greatly infringe on State and Individual Rights.  It is time for Americans to elect those that will uphold and enforce the U.S. Constitution.

Donald Trump’s political platform includes,

 •Strengthening the borders

•Enforcement of current immigration laws

•Defunding Planned Parenthood, which would prevent tax revenue from being used to fund abortions

•Protecting gun rights for law abiding citizens

•Returning regulatory authority and power to the states, where it belongs

•Bringing businesses back to America

The DeKalb County Republican Party asks everyone to rally behind Donald Trump and Mike Pence. “Please do not stay home and allow Hillary Clinton to become the next president by default. Vote for Donald Trump in November.” Bryant concluded.
