An undercover drug investigation by the Smithville Police Department has resulted in a local man being charged with two counts of sale and delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance (Dilaudid).
According to police, Anthony Bullard, 47, was arrested after detectives recorded him on video and audio selling two small, yellow pills believed to be Dilaudid to a confidential source.
Smithville Police Department detectives reportedly conducted undercover drug buys on two separate occasions on Nov. 14-15 in the parking lots of two local businesses.
His bond was set at $10,000, and he will appear in court on June 20.
Kristen N. Waggoner, 21, has been charged with five counts of forgery.
Waggoner allegedly stole several checks from a former roommate in May, passing them at local businesses.
Police say the checks totaled more than $2,000.
More charges may be pending against Waggoner.
Her bonds total $25,000.
Meanwhile, police said 27-year-old Joshua Bain has been cited for simple possession.
Bain was reportedly stopped by police on May 25 for an equipment violation on his vehicle.
Bain allegedly gave consent to search the vehicle, and the officer found two grams of a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana in the glove compartment.
Patsy Estes, 41, was charged with public intoxication and simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance (Suboxone) on May 25.
Police were called to a local business where a woman was allegedly harassing customers.
When the officer arrived and spoke to the store manager, Estes was identified as the person responsible.
Police said Estes was hostile and confrontational, had slurred speech and was unsteady on her feet.
While being taken into the police department, a plastic bag containing two plastic strips believed to be Suboxone allegedly fell out of her pants.
Her bond was set at $5,000 and she will appear in court on June 13.
Christopher Douglas Griffith, 35, was cited for theft on May 24.
Griffith was allegedly caught shoplifting at Walmart, and when confronted by police he reportedly admitted to taking a pair of Wrangler blue jeans and a three-pack of Hanes tee shirts.
He will appear in court on July 25.
Jared Lee Hendrixson, 39, was cited for shoplifting on May 23.
An officer dispatched to investigate a report of shoplifting at Walmart reportedly confronted Hendrixson about missing items valued at almost $300, and he allegedly admitted to taking them.
He will appear in court on June 13.
Kellyie Wilkey, 18, was charged with domestic assault on June 1.
Wilkey allegedly assaulted a family member at a residence on Earl Avenue by hitting her in the head with her hand.
Her bond was set at $2,500, and she will appear in court on June 13.
