Business Inc. - Dependability key when it comes to appliances
bizInc 032
If youre worried about paying a high delivery cost or getting rid of your old furniture or appliance, fret no longer as Cantrells Furniture & Appliance has free delivery and haul off.

This week’s focus is on furniture and appliances.

While I don’t claim to be an expert, I do have some expertise in the arena starting with appliances. Having sold appliances at a retail big-box store I learned a lot about different product features folks
were interested in when it comes to a new purchase.

Dependability always tops the list, people want to invest in an appliance that is trouble free, followed by features and price point. I’m a big fan of the newer high efficiency machines and feel they’re worth the higher price point. The spin cycle on the washer is much faster than a traditional washer, leaving your clothes that much drier from the get go. My preference was for a top load HE washer instead of a front load because you can leave the top up to prevent mildew and it’s easier to clean.

As for furniture, I know about as much as the next person when it comes to what’s comfortable for me and as we all like different styles that’s more of a personal preference. I know a bit about moving furniture over the years. Recently, becoming a full-time RV’er, I gave my old furniture to my son and since I have a truck helped with the transport. My daughter is on deck next for me to move a washer and dryer once it stops raining.

Did you ever notice when you have a truck you are on everyone’s short list when they need something moved? I actually bought it to move my camper but have moved more furniture with it already instead.
Cantrell’s Furniture & Appliances – 638 West Broad Smithville – 615-597-7871

With name brands like Frigidaire, Broyhill, Lane, Southern Motion and Action Lane to name a few, Cantrell’s Furniture and Appliances should be a first stop when looking for that new living room suite or kitchen stove.

For one thing, the inventory is chock full with merchandise on-hand ready for delivery which, I was happy to know, is free. The folks at Cantrell’s also haul off your old one (whatever that might be) which makes it that much sweeter. The big-box store I worked in charged $65 for this service that Cantrell’s is doing for free.

I wondered what sold more, furniture or appliances and asked owner Jerry Lee Cantrell.

“It’s pretty much a good flip,” he said, which I took to mean it’s about even. “When an appliance goes down you’ve got to have it, but you can sit on an old sofa for a bit longer.”

Cantrell’s sells mostly new but does have financing through a partner firm in the Smithville area if you’re interested.

“We’re gearing up for tax relief time,” Cantrell said. “We offer a special just about daily so folks can come in and look around for what they like and talk to us … we like that.”

So if you’re you’re looking for a kitchen set, a new washer and dryer or even a roll-top desk you can pretty much find a good selection at Cantrell’s so stop by and chat a spell.
