A local man faces DUI charges after he ended up in the front yard of a Dry Creek Road home after a Saturday night crash. According to Smithville police, Forrest "Frosty" Byrd, 56, was traveling west on Dry Creek Road in a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am when he left the roadway, hitting a mail box and a culvert before his vehicle came to a stop on the front lawn of the residence. Byrd was apparently uninjured in the crash.
