A local man was airlifted after a rolling his Volkswagen over on Highway 56 South near Webb Lane just before midnight Saturday. According to Lieutenant Randy Maynard of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Donald Wayne Cantrell, 62, was traveling south in a 2000 Volkswagen Beetle when the vehicle left the roadway on the right side, striking a culvert and overturning. The Bug apparently hit another culvert before coming to rest on its roof in the ditchline.
