City cites three for shoplifting
One arrested for DUI

Amy Jeanette Lawson, 35, was arrested for DUI on Oct. 18.
 According to city police, Lawson was operating a motor vehicle, and when making a turn the back wheels dropped off the road.
The arresting officer reportedly had prior knowledge of her license being suspended and stopped Lawson’s vehicle.
The officer said she had slurred speech, was unsteady on her feet and had glazed eyes.
After performing poorly on field sobriety tasks, Lawson was arrested for DUI and cited for driving on a suspended license.
Her bond is set at $2,500, and she will appear in General Sessions Court on Nov. 29.
Meanwhile, Heather Renee Anderson, 19, was cited for shoplifting at Dollar General Store on Oct. 17.
City police said Anderson intentionally and knowingly concealed items in her purse with intent to deprive the store of the merchandise.
She will appear in General Sessions Court on Oct. 25.
Later the same day, Dana Annette Kennedy, 41, was cited for shoplifting at the same location.
Police said the stolen items were recovered.
 Her General Sessions Court date is Nov. 15
Misty Dawn Bush, 38, was cited for shoplifting on Oct. 20.
Police said that Bush was stopped by a Wal-Mart employee for taking items and concealing them in her purse with the intent of depriving the store of its merchandise.
Her General Sessions Court date is Nov. 15.
