Amanda Nichole Smith, 38, of Lebanon was arrested for public intoxication. Police responded to 625 Highland Ave for a disturbance call. Upon arrival officers made contact with Smith who appeared to be disoriented and became belligerent towards the officers. She didn’t know where she was and saw a subject walking while the officers were present but the subject was not seen by the officers. Upon questioning, it was determined that Smith had a RX for suboxone and had taken it twice on this date. Due to her condition she was taken into custody for her own safety.
Jimmie Lee Herman, 37, of McMinnville was cited for shoplifting. Herman was observed placing a pack of Command clear hooks in his back pocket with the intent to deprive Dollar General Store of its merchandise. The item was recovered and returned to the store.
Cameron Renee Page, 28, of 834 S. Mountain Street was arrested for aggravated statutory rape. Police were called to the Wal-Mart parking lot for a possible domestic that was found to be verbal only. During the investigation it was found that the parties had had sex and the victim was 17 years old. Upon investigation it was discovered that Page and the juvenile had been in a relationship over the span of a couple months and that it had become physical. Page was aware that the juvenile was under the age of 18. Bond: 5000. GS: 4/19/18
Nathaniel Dylan Tippens, 25, of 348 Page Drive was cited for simple possession. Tippens was found to be in possession of approximately 2 grams of a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine. Tippens was found asleep at the wheel of his vehicle on the public square and a search was conducted after seeing what was believed to be drug paraphernalia in plain sight.
Stephany Lee Pardue, 48, of Gold Club Drive was arrested for driving while license revoked first-offense. Police responded to 322 Riley Ave for a motor vehicle accident. A check of Pardue’s license with Central Dispatch revealed it to be revoked due to unsatisfied judgments out of Putnam County. Pardue also had active warrants out of Putnam County for failure to appear. Pardue was taken into custody without incident.
Sonny Roman Smith, 26, of Possum Hollow Road was arrested for criminal trespass on 3/31/18. Police responded to Crestlawn Avenue for an unwanted guest. Upon arrival the officer made contact with Smith who was running across the street and behind the buildings. On 10/6/17 Smith was told not to be on the property of the Smithville Housing Authority.
Anthony Sharod Johnson, 45, of Jackson was arrested for public intoxication. Police responded to 713 W. Broad Street in reference to a verbal altercation. Upon arrival Johnson was found in the parking lot of the motel. Johnson was found to have slurred speech, difficult to understand, and was unsteady on his feet.
It was discovered that he had been drinking a lot throughout the course of the day and had been staying in the halfway house but was kicked out due to his drinking. For his and the public’s safety he was arrested without incident.
Eddie Wayne Cook, 73, of Cooper Avenue was arrested for aggravated burglary, aggravated burglary and theft of property over $1000. Police responded to Frazier Street in reference to a renter having trouble with their landlord. The victim had been renting the house from Cook and was moving her things out due to her buying a house. She had gone back to the house she was renting to retrieve more of her items and noticed that Cook had moved her items out of the house and onto his trailer. She went into the house and noticed that some things not on the trailer were missing and asked Cook about them. He informed her that he had given some things to the people that he had helping him. It was also discovered that Cook had took the keys from the house to the victim’s vehicle that was still in the driveway and took items out and gave some of them away.
Jimmie Lee Herman, 37, of McMinnville was arrested for driving on revoked. Police responded to McDonald’s in reference of a male subject passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle. Upon making contact with the subject identified as Herman, the officer was informed that he (Herman) didn’t realize what time it was. A check of Herman’s driver’s license through Central Dispatched returned to be revoked for DUI out of Warren County at which time Herman was placed into custody.
Sonny Roman Smith, 26, of Possum Hollow Road was arrested for criminal trespass. Upon arrival, police observed Smith coming from the back of a residence on Wade Street which is situated within the Smithville Housing Authority. The officer had prior knowledge that Smith had been banned from the property and had been arrested a week prior for the offense of criminal trespass for being on the same property. Smith was told on 10/6/17 not to be on the property of the Smithville Housing Authority and was taken into custody without incident.
Patrick Jerome Murphy, 27, of Tommy Harrell Street was arrested for child abuse. Police were informed on 4/10/18 by DCS that the child had a bruise on her bottom in the shape of a hand print. Upon investigation it was discovered that Murphy had spanked the child on 4/9/18 which caused the imprint to still be seen three days later.
Jeffrey D Caldwell, 56, of Sparta was arrested for driving while license revoked and altering or forging title or plates. Police initiated a routine traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired registration. A check with Central Dispatch of Caldwell’s license plate revealed that the 2018 expiration sticker on the plate belonged to a vehicle in Jackson County. His license also came back revoked for failure to comply with financial responsibility at which time he was taken into custody.
