Unconscious man found with BB gun in pants
Aaron Edward Hines, 25, of 506 Big Hurricane Rd., was arrested for DUI and cited for simple possession and drug paraphernalia. Hines was found to be unconscious behind the wheel of a vehicle with the keys in the ignition. Upon exiting the vehicle he was found to be unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech. He did perform several field sobriety tasks unsatisfactorily. A BB gun pistol tucked in the waistband of his pants was found upon pat down incident to arrest. For officer safety, he was asked to place items in his pockets on the hood of the officer’s patrol unit. He was found to be in possession of two glass pipes with a white residue, five pills believed to be gabapentin, five pills believed to be oxycodone, a black bag containing several baggies and misc drug paraphernalia. Man runs into woods after found with stolen vehicle
John Austin Graham Curtis, 23, of McMinnville was arrested for theft of property, resisting stop, halt, frisk, or search and driving on revoked in Warren County. A report was filed on 3/7/18 of a truck being stolen from a parking lot on Miller Rd. On 3/8/18 a deputy with Warren County responded to a vehicle off the roadway. Upon arrival the deputy saw a man standing on the side of the road and when the deputy motioned for him to go over to him the subject ran into the woods. Upon making contact with the suspect, he was identified as Curtis and a computer check of his license and the vehicle that was off the road, it was discovered that Curtis’ license was revoked for a DUI in 2014 and the vehicle was reported stolen from Smithville. Curtis was taken into custody and charged with the above offenses. Bond: 31,000
Zimmerman violates order of protection
Brandon A Zimmerman, 23, 223 E. Bryant St., was arrested for violation of order of protection. Police responded to a possible domestic made contact with Zimmerman and the other party present. Identification check with Central Dispatch confirmed there was an active order of protection out of Maury County against Zimmerman with the other party present being the petitioner. Zimmerman was taken into custody. The domestic was unfounded and was verbal only. Bond: $3,000 GS: 3/29/18

Jackie Dean Crumley, 43, was cited for simple possession on 3/10/18. Police responded to 511 S. College St. with the Warren County K-9 officer for a probation search. The K-9 alerted on Crumley at which time he was asked to empty his pockets and wallet. Less than .5 grams of methamphetamine was found. 3/22/18

Jakob Brian Craven, 24, of 575 Evergreen Circle, was cited for speeding, traffic control device/signal, and simple possession. Craven was pulled over for speeding and failing to stop at a red light on W. Broad St. Upon consent to search, 2 pills believed to be hydrocodone were discovered to which Craven didn’t have a prescription. GS: 4/5/18
A Rose by any other name is still a Rose
Micheal Rose, 33, of 225 E. Bryant St., was arrested o 3/11/18 for criminal impersonation. Police responded to a domestic assault. Upon arrival police made contact with the parties involved and Rose initially told the officers his name was Micheal Napier with a birthday of 6/9/95. A check of his name and date of birth out of several states and with different dates showed no record of him. Upon several minutes of investigation and questioning the other party it was discovered that his name was Micheal Rose and he had several outstanding warrants. No arrest was made for domestic as there was no indication that an assault had taken place. Bond: 2500.00 GS: 4/5/18
Smile, you’re on candid camera
Benjamin Roberto Garcia, 41, of 250 Moore Taylor Rd., was arrested on 3/13/18 for theft of property x2, burglary x2, vandalism x2, and cited for theft x2. A report was made on 2/19/18 that someone had gone on the property of Davis Auto and broke into a vehicle and took a radio from it causing damage to the vehicle. A report was filed on 2/20/18 of someone taking a 1994 Dodge Dakota from the lot of Auto Hut without the owner’s permission by breaking the lock and entering the gate of the car lot. Upon investigation and surveillance video obtained, Garcia was identified as a person of interest and later taken into custody on the 3/13/18. Bond: 57,500.00 GS: 3/29/18. Upon the recovery of the truck that was taken from Auto Hut, police observed a license plate on it and ran it through Central Dispatch and the plate came back as being stolen. A report was also filed on 3/11/18 of a person seen taking a pair of ear buds and a rugged speaker from Wal-Mart and leaving the store without paying for the items. Upon the investigation and arrest, Garcia was cited for theft of the license plate and the items taken from Wal-Mart.

Ovidio T. Torres, 26, of Crossville was arrested for DUI 1st. Police made contact with a sliver Mazda that matched the description of a possible DUI call on W. Broad St. Upon making contact with the vehicle, the officer observed the vehicle swerving in and out of its lane of travel. The officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver who was identified as Torres. The officer could smell the odor of alcohol on Torres person and observed him to have blood shot watery eyes. Torres agreed to standardized field sobriety task to which he was unable to complete at which time he was taken into custody without incident. Bond: 1500.00 GS: 4/5/18
Skyrockets in flight
Jermaica Cherome League, 36, of 104 Windham St., and David Aaron Burton 26 of 200 Gin Aly, Alexandria were arrested on 3/21/18 for disorderly conduct. Police responded to 104 Windham Street for a fight and possible gunshots, which was later found to be bottle rockets set off. Upon arrival the officers observed League and Burton outside arguing and yelling at each other with multiple people alarmed by what was going on. Both parties had caused injuries to each other and damaged each other’s vehicles. Upon investigation, a primary aggressor could not be determined and both parties were charged with disorderly conduct and taken into custody. Bond & court for each: 1500.00 GS: 4/12/18
Get off my lawn
Jason Kyle Shepherd 28 of 269 Allen St., was arrested for criminal trespass. Police responded to an unwanted family member that had previously been told to not be on the property. Jason Shepherd had been to the victim’s on March 17 and was told not to be on or removing anything from the property but showed up on the 22nd trying to take items from the garage for his father, Donald Ray Shepherd Sr., 71, of 304 Jacobs Pillar Rd., who was later arrested on this date for violation of an order of protection due to him trying to have friends and/or family members talk to the victim and have her to drop the order of protection against him. Donald Shepherd is not to have contact or any communication with the victim. Bond & Court date for each: 3500.00 & GS: 4/12/18
