City police made another arrest on grand jury sealed indictments last week.Michael Teachman, 59, was arrested on on Aug. 30 on a sealed indictment for sale and delivery of a Schedule III drug.He will be in court on Sept. 17.Meanwhile, Michael Eugene Lattimore, 29, was arrested for filing a false report on Aug. 27.According to the arrest warrant, while Smithville Police Department Detective Matt Holmes was interviewing Lattimore, a vehicle that he had reported stolen, Lattimore admitted to the detective that he had filed a false report.He reportedly told Holmes that he had loaned the vehicle to someone, and that it had not been stolen.His court date is set for Sept. 13.William Andrew Cantrell, 44, was arrested for public intoxication and cited for simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia on Sept. 6.According to Cantrell’s arrest warrant, a city officer found him passed out in a booth at Kwik-N-Ezy.The officer reportedly woke Cantrell up, and found him to have slurred speech and to be very unsteady on his feet.Police said he was arrested for his and the public's safety.A search of his possessions after the arrest revealed a small pill and drug paraphernalia.He will be in court on Nov. 11.Anyone having any information on any criminal activity is asked to contact the Smithville Police Department at 597-8210 or the Tip Line at 464-6046.Any information received that will help the Smithville Police solve any criminal offense will be greatly appreciated.All information is confidential.
