Federal Mogul has officially become part of the solution by becoming a corporate sponsor and local champion of the Joe Black Effort. The branch of Federal Mogul, located in Smithville, has chosen the Joe Black Effort as their preferred charity of choice for 2013.
Some ways that Federal Mogul, which employs 700-plus people, will be assisting in the effort to rehabilitate and re-home the stray, abused and neglected animals of Dekalb County include the following.
Federal Mogul will:
• Maintain a box where employees will donate new and used pet paraphernalia (i.e. food, toys, treats, collars, leashes, crates. kennels, dog-runs, blankets, etc.);
• Display flyers provided by the JBE regarding events, fundraisers, specific donation needs, donating to veterinary accounts, etc.;
• Collect monetary donations on our behalf of the JBE;  
• Donate the proceeds from the sale of an employee cookbook to be published in 2013;
• Host a bake sale in the employee cafeteria;
• Allow the JBE to use one day in 2013 to set up a JBE table in the cafeteria for the purpose of identifying/recruiting/certifying new foster parents from amongst their employee base; and
•  Allow the JBE to advertise their logo within our marketing materials.
