Edward Dale Caldwell, 52, was arrested for DUI second offense on Nov. 23.  Police received a call that a green van almost ran them off the road.  Officers made contact with the van on W. Broad St and initiated a traffic stop.  The driver was identified as Caldwell who was unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech and a strong order of alcohol on his person.  Caldwell refused field sobriety task and implied consent.  A computer check showed Caldwell to have had a prior DUI on June 26, 2016, in DeKalb County making a blood draw mandatory by law.  Bond: $3000 GS: 21 Dec.

Robert Todd Williams, 54, was arrested on Nov.29 for aggravated assault.  Williams had been involved in a domestic dispute that became physical.  In the altercation Williams did cause physical injury to the victim and did put his hand around her neck choking her.  Bond: $2500 GS: Dec. 21

Shawn Bradley Patton, 38, was arrested on Dec. 3 for public intoxication and resisting stop, frisk, halt, arrest or search.  Police responded to Shiroki North America in response to a suspicious person.  Upon arrival the officer made contact with Patton who was irate, talking out of his mind and appeared to be under the influence of drugs.  Patton was placed in custody and walked to a patrol car where he attempted to kick at officers and kicked the window and door of the patrol car.  Patton would not obey commands given by officers and was tased in an attempt to gain control of his person.  He was then arrested and transported to the DeKalb County Jail.  Bond: $4000 GS: Dec. 21

On Dec. 6 Mark Anthony Mason 45 was arrested for violation of bond conditions.  Police stopped a vehicle being driven by mason for swerving in the roadway.  Upon making contact with Mason, a female was found in the vehicle passenger side.  Upon running Mason’s license through Central Dispatch, it was found that there were valid bond conditions between Mason and the female barring contact.  Mason was taken into custody without incident.  Bond: $3500GS: Jan. 4

Stephan Tyler Brewsaugh, 24, was arrested on Dec. 7 for aggravated assault (domestic).  Brewsaugh and the victim were engaged in an argument that turned physical when Brewsaugh jumped on the victim, hit her several times as well as choked her.  Bond: $7500 GS: Dec. 21

Crissy Michelle Evans, 44, was cited on Dec. 7 for shoplifting.  Police responded to Food Lion in reference to a shoplifter and made contact with Evans who was loading groceries in a van.  Evans had placed items in a Wal-Mart bag and acting like she had bought them.  GS: Dec. 21

On Dec. 15, Matthew Edward Stacy, 25, was cited for simple possession and drug paraphernalia.  Police responded to Stacy’s residence and with consent to search found several bags of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana weighing approximately 38 grams along with 15 bongs/pipes, a scale, and a grinder all believed to be used in illegal drug activity.  GS: Jan. 4

On Dec. 15, Jessica Leeann Bain, 28, was arrested for violation of protection order.  Bain did violate a full protection order that was issued on Dec. 14 by being at the same residence as the petitioner by entering the residence through a back door without the petitioner’s knowledge.  Bond: $20,000 GS: Jan. 4

Sy Gohs, 19, was arrested on Dec. 17 for domestic assault and resisting stop, frisk, halt, arrest or search.  Gohs did assault the victim by hitting her in the face, leaving her with a bloody nose and kicking her. When Gohs was notified that he was under arrest he pulled away from officers and had to be tased to gain control.  Bond: $5500 GS: Jan. 4

Jeremy Aaron Bilbrey, 43, was arrested on Dec. 18 for driving on suspended.  Bilbrey was in control of a vehicle at Wal-Mart that he had parked in the tow away zone in the front of the building.  Upon checking with Central Dispatch, Bilbrey’s license was found to be suspended out of DeKalb for failure to maintain future proof of financial responsibility. 

Bilbrey was taken into custody for the reasonable likelihood that the offense would continue as he was cited on Dec. 6 for driving on suspended.  Bond: $3500 GS: Jan. 4.
