A one-motorcycle crash on Dale Ridge Road claimed the life of a Mount Juliet man last Tuesday.
Joshua Jernigan, 29, died soon after his Suzuki collided with a guardrail in a curve on Highway 96.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Jernigan left the roadway on the right side and connected with a guardrail post near the intersection with Caplinger Hollow Road.
Jernigan was traveling north toward Center Hill Dam.
The THP said Jernigan was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
He was transported by DeKalb EMS to DeKalb Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Jeremy Wilhite, who was assisted at the scene by the sheriff’s department, EMS and members of the county fire department.
