For the second time in three days, Smithville police officers found a DeKalb County woman in violation of a restraining order while on probation, making it a third strike for the woman as police placed her in custody yet again. On Sunday, Aug. 20, Smithville police responding to a possible overdose call, arrested 48-year-old Lou Ann Sanders for a third offense of violation of an order of protection after first making contact with Jason Allen Bates, 41, of Smithville who has an active order of protection against Sanders. Sanders was found sitting in a chair beside Bates and was taken into custody without incident.
