Dump truck loses load on Highway 70
A tandem dump truck belonging to Jewels construction in Smithville was involved in a single-vehicle accident Thursday at the bottom of Snow Hill in Dowelltown. Mechanical failure apparently caused the bed to detach from the truck, causing it to spill a load of gravel onto Highway 70. The driver saved the truck from overturning, and no one was injured in the incident.
