The courthouse square is the place to go for free school supplies on Aug. 7. The Annual First Day of School Education Celebration, held on registration day in DeKalb County, will begin at 6 p.m., and is free, as are the school supplies, and all parents and students are encouraged to attend the event. There will be information booths, local officials and organizations handing out free school supplies, refreshments, and various activities for students.
