An 80-year-old local man was found dead Friday night about a quarter of a mile from his home.Charles E. Lefler, who reportedly suffered from dementia, was reported missing Friday, after not having been heard from since last Monday night.Upon investigation, authorities apparently found that he had last taken his medication on Tuesday.Members of the sheriff's department, rescue squad, county fire department, and TWRA began a search for the missing man.Reverse 911 calls were placed from central dispatch to ask neighbors to watch for Lefler.A nearby resident received the call and soon found the elderly man’s body on his property around 9:30 Friday night.Lefler was said to have been found fully clothed, and appeared to have been dead for some time.According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, foul play is not suspected, but an autopsy will be performed.
