W.J. (Dub) Evins, III was re-named Chairman of the Board of Education Thursday night.

Evins, the Fifth District representative for the board, was chosen by the members of the school board in the board’s annual re-organization, conducted every September. Sixth district board member Doug Stephens was chosen as vice-chairman, and Seventh District member Shaun Tubbs will return as assistant secretary.

The current school board includes representatives Danny Parkerson for the First District, Jerry Wayne Johnson for the Second District, Jim Beshearse for the Third District, Kate Miller for the Fourth District, W.J. (Dub) Evins, III for the Fifth District, Doug Stephens for the Sixth District, and Shaun Tubbs for the Seventh District.
