Douglas Ray Ferrell, 49, was arrested on May 4 and charged with aggravated assault. Acoording to Sheriff Patrick Ray, a deputy was dispatched to A Midway Road home to check out reports of a domestic assault. An investigation allegedly revealed that Ferrell had hit his son on the head with a hammer, and then chased him with a metal pole, trying to hit him again.
