A free day at the lake was enjoyed by many Saturday afternoon as Center Hill Lake hosted its annual festival at Floating Mill and Hurricane Marina.

 Events included a pair of competative canoe race and free pontoon boat rides from Floating Mill to Hurricane Marina. There were also games for children and educational booths offered by park rangers. There were also hands-on exhibits where children got to pet a snake.
