A Jacobs Pillar Road fire completely consumed a home Monday. The fire at the residence at 1993 Jacobs Pillar Road, owned by Jimmy Womack and rented by Shane Downy was called in just before 4:30 p.m. Members of the Keltonburg, Blue Springs, and Short Mountain Highway fire stations responded along with a tanker truck. The department fought the fire for several hours before bringing it under control.
