Fire leaves family homeless
A Thursday fire at the home of Patricia Fletcher at 5920 McMinnville Highway left a family homeless Thursday afternoon. Though firefighters arrived just minutes after the call, by the time they got to the scene, the home, an old, wooden structure, was beyond saving. All the familys belongings were lost. Members of the Keltonburg, Blue Springs, and Short Mountain Highway Stations of the DeKalb County Volunteer Fire Department fought to save the residence.
