The county has received five applications from people seeking to land the job of EMS director.

Applicants include Jeremy Young, Charles Nokes, Allen Mason of Lancaster, Jeff Cole of Spencer and current Interim Director Hoyte Hale. Hale has worked as interim director since former director Chip Cook left the position two and a half years ago. Hale previously served as assistant EMS director for seven years.

The Emergency Services Committee of the county commission met last night to review the applications and schedule a meeting to interview applicants for the job.
