Football fan busted stealing sign at stadium

A overly enthusiastic Giles County football fan was arrested Friday night after he allegedly attempted to steal a sign from  DeKalb County High School.
After the state playoff game at Vanhooser Stadium this weekend, 18-year-old William Carson Burns of Pulaski was charged with theft of property under $500 and evading arrest after the school resource officer reportedly chased him down to retrieve the stolen sign.
Burns allegedly took the sign, valued at less than $500, from school property, and was in the process of leaving with it  when he was spotted by authorities and asked to  put the sign down.
Burns ran away with the sign, and officers chased him approximately 200 yards before he was apprehended.
His bond is set at $3,000 and he will be in court Nov. 17.
Meanwhile, 43-year-old Raymond Earl Tague was charged with theft of property over $500 on Nov. 2.
According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, Tague took a door, a large window, and two small windows with a total value of over $500 from property on Bluhmtown Road.
His bond is $5,000 and he will be in court Nov. 17.
Lisa Yvonne Rogers, 36, was cited for violation of the financial responsibility law (no insurance), simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A representative of the sheriff’s department was reportedly dispatched to Creek Road to check out a suspicious vehicle on Nov. 5.
The deputy found Rogers sitting in the vehicle, and recieved consent to search the car.
The officer allegedly found 1.8 grams of marijuana and a pipe, and Rogers could not show proof of insurance.
Her court date is Nov. 17
