Fugitive flees accident scene
This van driven by Judy Patton overturned after a collision with an S-10 pickup driven by Ricky Scott last week. According to Police Chief Randy Caplinger, the van was crossing South Congress Boulevard from Vaughn Lane, and failed to yield the right of way to Scott. After the crash, witnesses told police that a passenger had exited the van and left the scene before authorities arrived. An investigation revealed that the man who fled was Pattons son, Greg Patton, 36, who reportedly left the scene because he had outstanding warrants. Patton allegedly abandoned his mother and 12-year-old son in the vehicle when he bolted. Patton was still at large when the Review went to press. There were no serious injuries in the accident.
