The body of a Murfreesboro girl who went missing from a houseboat docked at Hidden Harbor Marina Monday morning was recovered at about 6:15 that same evening near where the boat had been docked.Ten-year-old Elizabeth Grace Hathaway is suspected to be the victim of drowning after apparently falling from the family houseboat sometime after 8:30 Monday morning, according to officials.After the girl was discovered to be missing and authorities were notified, an intensive search was undertaken on the lake and on shore by members of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, the DeKalb County Fire Department's Search and Rescue Team, the DeKalb County Rescue Squad, Emergency Management Agency Coordinator Charlie Parker, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, DeKalb EMS, the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department's Special Operations unit and the Putnam County Rescue Squad.DeKalb 911 utilized the automated reverse call system to notify nearby residents to be on the lookout for the girl.Divers from the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department eventually found the body in about forty feet of water near the rear of the boat.DeKalb Market assisted by supplying food and water to the searchers.
