The DeKalb County Republican Party will be hosting a County Convention on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 10 a.m. for the purpose of selecting a Republican nominee for the vacancy on the DeKalb County Commission, District 1.

The Convention will be held in the County Commission Room at the DeKalb County Courthouse. The vacancy was created when Commissioner Elmer Ellis, Jr. recently resigned. The remainder of this term will be filled by election at the August 4, 2016, County General Election.
