Graduation set for May 24

The DeKalb County High School graduation ceremony on May 24 will see 189 students receive diplomas.The program is set to begin at 7 p.m. on the high school football field.Valedictorian Taylor Leach, Class President Matt Boss and DCHS Principal Patrick Cripps will address the crowd, and the keynote speaker will be Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto.Director of Schools Mark Willoughby will present graduates with their diplomas, and the DCHS Chorus is expected to perform.The prestigious White Rose and Citizenship Awards will also be presented to three outstanding members of the class.Honor students to be recognized will include:•Graduates earning Highest Distinction, with a grade point average of 3.8 to 4.0, including; Valedictorian Taylor C.
