Hall charged with three counts of forgery

Andrew Tyler Hall, 27, faces charges for three counts of forgery after a city police investigation.
According to Smithville Police Chief Randy Caplinger, Corporal Travis Bryant took reports from a local bank concerning checks being forged on an account holder who is a resident of another county.
An investigation allegedly revealed that  Hall was captured on video surveillance passing checks the account in question on July 29, Aug. 9 and Aug. 13. Upon determination that Hall forged the checks, police took warrants his arrest.
On November 21, 2013 Detective Matt Holmes reportedly saw Hall on the courthouse square and asked him to follow him to city hall, where he was read his rights and placed under arrest.
His bond was set at $15,000, and he will appear in General Sessions Court on Dec. 12.
Meanwhile, Steven Cuevas, 25, was arrested and charged with domestic assault on Nov. 30.
Police said Officer Will Judkins was dispatched to check out reports of a domestic assault in progress. Upon arrival Judkins reportedly spoke with a victim who police said was trying to get her belongings and leave when Cuevas pushed her and hit her in the face.
The victim's left eye allegedly appeared to be swollen and red.  Cuevas’ bond was set at $2,500, and he will appear in General Sessions Court on Dec. 12.
Jessica French Hale, 31, was cited for shoplifting on Nov. 1.
Police said K-9 Officer James Cornelius was dispatched to Dollar General Store, where he was informed that a subject had taken some items without paying and driven away. Using a description of the vehicle the suspect left the store in, Cornelius reportedly located Hale and the items taken from the store.
Randall Jake Hines, 29, was cited for shoplifting on Nov 16.
Officer Matt Farmer responded to a shoplifting call at Ace Hardware. Police said a store employee observed Hines putting an item belonging to the store under his shirt and walking out of the store without paying for it. the item was reportedly recovered and returned to the store.
He will appear in court on Dec. 12.
Peggy L. Jordan, 47, was cited for shoplifting on Nov. 16.
Captain Steven Leffew was dispatched to Walmart to investigate a report of a shoplifter.  A store employee allegedly witnessed Jordan putting items in her purse.
Police said Leffew questioned Jordan and recovered the items.
She will appear in court on Dec. 12
Stephanie Ann Pierce, 38, was cited for shoplifting at Dollar General Store by Officer Will Judkins on Nov. 18.
Pierce was allegedly caught with several items that she had not paid concealed inside her clothing.
