Richard Alvie Herman, 49, was arrested by the sheriff’s department on Feb. 22 and charged with domestic assault after allegedly threatening to cut his father’s throat.
According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, Herman pushed his father and told him he would cut his throat.
His bond was set at $5000, and he will appear in court on March 3.
Meanwhile, three people were arrested on charges that they filed a false report concerning a break in that allegedly did not happen on Feb. 24.
Ray said Carlos Lynn Godsey, 34, Lois Nichole Godsey, 29 and Rickey Allen Sweeney, 40, the Godsey’s neighbor, were all charged after they wrote statements reporting a break-in that did not take place. The trio allegedly made written statements saying that another person who was living at the home had broken in.
Bond for each of the three was set at $5,000, and they will appear in court on March 10.
