All three Incumbents were returned to the DTC Communications Board of Directors for three-year terms Saturday. Ronnie Garrison, Bennie "Buck" Curtis, and Randy Campbell were all re-elected to the seats at the annual DeKalb Telephone Cooperative meeting at the Alexandria fairgrounds.
Curtis edged challenger Mark Willoughby out by 13 votes in the Alexandria Exchange. The final tally in that race was 476 to 463. Curtis took 91 votes from Alexandria, 39 from Gordonsville, 166 from Smithville, 58 from Woodbury and 122 on election day.
Willoughby received 67 votes from Alexandria, 40 from Gordonsville, 175 from Smithville, 47 from Woodbury and 134 on election day.
Campbell defeated Danny Lynn Hale 512-429 for the Liberty Exchange position.
Campbell had 101 ballots cast in his favor from Alexandria, 33 from Gordonsville, 188 from Smithville, 63 from Woodbury and 127 on election day.
Hale got 62 votes from Alexandria, 43 from Gordonsville, 149 from Smithville, 45 from Woodbury and 130 on election day.
Garrison received 652 votes in the race against Paul Cantrell, who took 291 votes.
Garrison got 123 votes from Alexandria, 64 from Gordonsville, 230 from Smithville, 53 from Woodbury and 182 on election day.
Cantrell received 38 votes from Alexandria, 12 from Gordonsville, 120 from Smithville, 46 from Woodbury and 75 on election day.
The DTC Communications Board of Directors consists of Garrison, Curtis, Campbell, Terry McPeak for the Norene Exchange, Charles Dwight Vinson for Milton, Jean Chumbley Ferrell for Woodbury, Jimmy Oakley for Temperance Hall, Roy Nelson Pugh for Auburntown, David Parker for Woodland and James Dillard, Jr. for Gordonsville.
