DeKalb County firefighters and deputies are shown here pulling Becky Hammons of Baxter from the wreckage of her Nissan after she left the roadway just past Puckett Pointe on Highway 56 Monday. Hammons suffered a broken leg and other non-life threatening injuries in the accident. She managed to call 911 on her cell phone to alert authorities to her location.
