In his quest to become a contender on the hit NBC show “The Voice,” local singer Josh Issac is in the running for a  VIP audition with the producers of the show.
Issac’s supporters can go online through Nov. 17 to cast ballots for him at http://wsmv.upickem.net/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=107602. He is contestant number 13.
One entertainer will win a VIP audition, in which the artist will be allowed to bypass some of the red tape on his way to  performing in front of the show’s judges.
“It's called the Voice VIP and it’s for the NBC show The Voice,” Isaac told the Review. “Basically the pass lets you skip the initial auditions and not wait in the long lines and get to talk to the casting producers.
Issac recently performed the National Anthem in an audition at the Music City Center in Nashville.
“Everyone had to sing the national anthem at the auditions in Nashville,” Isaac said. “You can go to http://wsmv.upickem.net/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=107602 and vote for me once a day. I'm number 13. Voting ends Nov. 17.”
Issac is no stranger to singing competitions, having been singing in public for most of his life.
He has won Mule Town Idol, Columbia Star Search, Shelbyville’s Got Talent, Chattanooga Idol, Tennessee Idol in Nashville, Warren County Idol 2012 and DeKalb Idol 2012. He has also been a contestant on American Idol.
 If he is selected for the show, Isaac said that he would pick Adam Levine as a coach. The coaches currently include Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, and Ceelo Green. Carson Daly is the host of the show.
“It’s very stressful but exciting to be this close to my dream,” Isaac said. “I am so grateful for everyone who has voted for me so far. I need everyone’s help to make this happen, but I want the Lord’s plan for me in the end. It’s hard to keep putting yourself out there, but God keeps opening these doors for me, so I keep walking through them.”
