Trooper Dewaine Jennings of Smithville has been presented an award by The Governors Highway Safety Office for Trooper of the Year for 2013. The plaque reads "In Recognition of your commitment to saving lives In Tennessee through highway traffic safety in the Cumberland region." Jennings (right) is shown with Clint Shrum of the Governors Highway Safety Office. The award was presented at a conference held at Fall Creek Falls State Park.
